The Northlands are hard, bitter lands to the north of Mossflower Woods, mostly home to vermin bands and armies, as well as birds and hares. The far North is a war-torn region. Corsair attacks are frequent, and on the Northeastern Coast is the formidable vermin fortress, Fort Marshank. Beyond the northern seas is Riftgard and the wolverine-ruled Land of Ice and Snow.
The Northlands was the place of origin of Martin the Warrior and he described them as a region of mostly rocks, grass and hills.
